I tunes wont come up?

I tunes wont come up?
I just connected my ipod in and I clicked itunes but it wont come up. I cant disconnect my ipod because it says quotdo not disconnect.quot what should I do? Is it safe for my ipod if I restart my computer but keep it plugged in?

there is a little icaon at the bottom right of your computer that will say something like safely disconnect device. You want to open that and select your ipods location and select disconnect. I have had issues before running windows and itunes wont open up. I usually rebooto my computer and it will work fine. Not sure if it is a virus, malicious software or a memory issue but it has always worked after a reboot. Good luck
